Twitter talk

It’s been very cool to watch rtm’s ever-growing list of Twitter friends since we launched Remember The Milk for Twitter this week. We were excited to see that people have already come up with some really creative ways to interact with RTM on Twitter, and just wanted to share some of the interesting stuff that we’ve come across.

Twit2RTM Dashboard Widget for OS X

Takashi Nomura has created an awesome widget called Twit2RTM for sending direct messages to RTM from your Dashboard. Just enter the name and (optional) due date for your task, or enter one of the commands, and press the ‘Send’ button to direct message rtm.

Twittering with Quicksilver

Another one for Mac users (PC users are going to be jealous :) Baron VC has a great post, The Ultimate Remember The Milk Setup for Your Mac, describing how to set up Twitter with Quicksilver to make interacting with RTM only a keyboard shortcut away. We’re fans of anything that makes it faster to add your tasks.

In other news, we’ve been improving our handling of due dates for tasks added via Twitter (you can enter a task and due date in one sentence such as, “return library books in 2 weeks”, and RTM will figure out what you mean). If you find that RTM gets the due date wrong or something unexpected happens, please let us know and help us to improve this feature. Thanks!
