Tips & Tricks Tuesday: Review postponed tasks regularly with a Smart List
Postponing a task is easy, but sometimes you can get in a routine of putting something off. This week’s tip, shared by stevenov, suggests a repeating task and a Smart List to help remind you to review those tasks, so you can either get to them or cut them loose.
I have a few things on my list that I constantly postpone. Sometimes I’m postponing for a good reason, but sometimes it’s an idea I should just give up on. I created a Smart List to see these kinds of tasks. The Smart List shows me anything postponed more than three times. I have a recurring task to check and review the list. If I see something that I should really just remove, this is the chance to do that.
Seeing the ideas I’m not pursuing helps me to figure out why they’re not happening and if they should (or shouldn’t happen).
