Tips & Tricks Tuesday: Quickly accessing planned exercise routes
When you’re ready to exercise it’s not always easy to recall the route you had planned. odlny suggests in this week’s tip to save the route in a task’s URL, and then you can pull it up from the task—or even from the reminder!
I had this idea related to planning routes for running/hiking/cycling etc.
Footpath is a great iOS app for plotting out routes on a map, giving you the distance, elevation etc. It also has the ability to share routes as a URL.
Simply plot the route, click the share button, copy the URL and paste it into the URL field of a new task in the Remember The Milk app. Set a reminder, then when it is due, you can quickly access the route again in Footpath.
Particularly useful when planning various future training runs, rides, commutes etc.
Thanks for sharing this tip, odlny! You’re our Tips & Tricks Tuesday winner this week.
