Tips & Tricks Tuesday: Keeping up with cultural events
It can be easy to overlook or to forget about cultural events happening in your area. This week’s tip comes from stellina.1, who suggests keeping an “Events” list that you can use to check for indoor and outdoor events, or events ending soon.
I live in a small city which nevertheless offers the possibility for many cultural activities, such as art exhibitions in museums, musicals, festivals, theatre, etc. As many of these events usually run for several weeks, I often miss them if I don’t visit right after they begin. Therefore, I have created a list called “Events”. I can list all kinds of interesting events, add the URL for detailed information on opening hours, and use the location field for events in other cities.
Two weeks before the closing date, I set myself a reminder and use RTM to remind me to book tickets. I now always have a list available when weather conditions are bad for outdoor activities, and don’t miss interesting events and exhibitions any more. RTM even gives me the possibility to list the events chronologically.
