Taking web applications offline with Google Gears
A little while ago, the good folks at Google Code asked us if we were willing to share our experiences with using Google Gears to add offline functionality to RTM. As we’re big fans of Google APIs (we do use a fair few of them) and I’m an especially big fan of Google Code (I love Google Project Hosting! :), I was more than happy to oblige.
So, if you’re interested in offline web applications (and I mean, who isn’t?!), feel free to check out Taking web applications offline with Google Gears at the Google Code Developer Knowledge Base.
Many thanks to Aaron, Brian, Dan, David and Quang from Google for their help and feedback, and Charles, Emily, Gavin and Neil for reviewing the article.
