Announcing the Remember The Milk API
Over the last couple of months, we’ve been quietly working away on some new additions to the Remember The Milk service. We’re excited to announce today that the Remember The Milk API is now ready for public use.
The API allows developers to write applications that interact with our service – which means that desktop widgets, start page modules, mobile applications and much more can now be created for Remember The Milk.
Instead of re-inventing the wheel, we’ve taken inspiration from the Flickr API and have made it as easy as possible for developers familiar with it to utilize the Remember The Milk API.
We’ve implemented 45 methods spanning the majority of Remember The Milk functionality and we’ll be expanding the coverage of the API over the coming months. We’ve setup a mailing list for developer discussion, and we’d love feedback on how we can improve the API.
We’d also love to hear any suggestions from users – is there a particular widget you’d like to see, or would you like your favourite software to interact with Remember The Milk in some way?
We look forward to seeing how developers take advantage of the API. Happy hacking :)
