Introducing Remember The Milk for BlackBerry 10
Monday, April 29, 2013 by Emily Boyd

We're excited to announce that, thanks to BlackBerry 10's support for Android apps, we've been able to bring our just-updated Android app to BlackBerry 10 phones. With the exceptions of widgets (which aren't possible just yet), the app has everything that the Android app features.
Like the Android app, the BlackBerry 10 app is available free with syncing limited to once every 24 hours. Upgrade to a Pro account and you'll get unlimited push syncing and reminders for tasks due or nearby. Plus, you get a whole bunch of other Pro benefits and you'll make Bob T. Monkey happy, too. :)
If you'd like to learn more about the app, check out the Remember The Milk for BlackBerry 10 section of the site. We hope you enjoy the app on BlackBerry 10!

The all-new Remember The Milk for Android (and tablets, too!)
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 by Emily Boyd
Bob T. Monkey's been furiously coding away as fast as his little monkey hands allow, and this Android update is a big one! Version 3.0 (codenamed "Tik-Tok") has a completely new and intuitive interface, improvements to reminder notifications and widgets… oh, and did we mention that it's built for tablets, too? Check out the demo we prepared earlier, or read on for the full scoop.
A whole new interface
Yes, the entire app has been completely redesigned! We're introducing the card stack concept to the Android app (you might've seen this in our iPhone or iPad apps), while maintaining the Android-y feel of the app. The card stack allows you to swipe your way through your tasks and notes with gestures for a natural, fun way to manage your tasks.

A great experience on tablets, too
Bob T. Monkey is very partial to his Nexus 7 (it's hard to prise that thing off him), so we're excited that this version of the app is built for tablets, too! The interface works beautifully on these larger screens, whether you have a Nexus 7, Nexus 10, or any of the other Android tablets out there.

New task and note views
The task view has been redesigned to make it quicker to edit or delete a task, or add a note (all these actions are now only a tap away!). The new note view gives you a full-screen for both viewing and editing notes.

Edit multiple tasks
We've made some improvements to this feature, and it works a little differently to the previous version of the app, so we thought we should mention this! To edit multiple tasks in a list, just tap the 'Edit' (pencil) icon in the top right, and select the tasks you'd like to work on. You'll now see a bunch of icons at the bottom that let you easily complete and postpone, or edit the due date, priority, list, or tags for a bunch of tasks at once.

Tap to get stuff done
As you can now swipe your way through the app, we needed to come up with a new way to quickly complete and postpone tasks (we can't use the swipe gesture to reveal the buttons, as it's used for navigating). From the list, just tap and hold on a task and you'll see the 'Complete' and 'Postpone' buttons appear.

Updated notifications, with actions!
Ever wished you could perform actions on your reminder notifications? Well, now you can! If you're using the app on Android 4.1+, you can 'Complete' or 'Postpone' the task in a reminder with one quick tap. Also on Android 4.1+ are improved notifications for reminders with multiple tasks; you'll now receive multi-line notifications that list the tasks due.

Redesigned widgets
All the widgets have been updated with a cleaner design, and the Smart Bar Widget is now resizable (with the original 4×1, or 3×1 for a little extra space). You can also now place List Widgets on your lock screen for super fast access to your tasks.

Thank you, testers!

We'd like to say a big thank you to the Remember The Milk users in the Pro Tester Program who helped us to test this release. Your feedback and bug reports were invaluable, and helped us to track down quirky bits that had snuck past Bob. Note to testers: You'll be notified that an update is available to the test release, which will send you to Google Play where you can download the final release version.
Didn't get invited to test this time?
If you have a Pro account and would like to help Bob T. Monkey test pre-releases in the future (Android or otherwise ;) then please make sure you've joined the Pro Tester Program and have your profile up-to-date!
Enjoy the new version!
We hope you like this latest app release! If you'd like to learn more about the app in general, check out the Remember The Milk for Android section of the site.

Now accepting credit card payments with Stripe
Monday, March 11, 2013 by Emily Boyd
If you've upgraded or renewed a Pro account recently (why, thank you!), you might've noticed that we now accept credit card payments directly on our site. Thanks to Stripe, we now accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB. Woot!
Previously, the only option available was PayPal, and we know that a bunch of you had experienced problems upgrading (if you did, please try with Stripe! :). PayPal will still be available as an option alongside Stripe.
Thanks to the guys at Stripe for their help in setting us up, and making payment processing a delight. :)

Introducing Remember The Milk reminders for Mountain Lion (and browsers, too!)
Thursday, July 26, 2012 by Emily Boyd
When we upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion yesterday we had two thoughts: 1) Notification Center is awesome! and, 2) If we could show Remember The Milk reminders in Notification Center, wouldn't it be even awesomer? One of our engineers proceeded to consume a ridiculous amount of caffeine, and this is the result:

Not using Mountain Lion? Get notifications with Chrome and Safari, too
The desktop notifications fun isn't limited to Mountain Lion! If you're using Chrome 20 or Safari 6 (or later, if you're reading this from the future), your browser now supports desktop notifications for Remember The Milk:

Enabling desktop notifications
Just log in and go to the 'Settings' screen in your account, then click the 'Reminders' tab. You'll see the new Desktop Notifications option; once you turn this 'on', just follow the browser's prompt to give Remember The Milk permission to send notifications.

Important note: Both Mountain Lion and Chrome/Safari desktop notifications require Remember The Milk to be running in your browser, but you always have it open in one of your tabs, right? Right?!
We hope you enjoy the notification-y goodness!

The humongous Remember The Milk for iPhone update
Monday, May 14, 2012 by Emily Boyd
Bob T. Monkey's busy cooking up some big new things in his lab (he barely comes out, not even for bananas), but we convinced him he could sneak in our biggest iPhone app update ever.
Version 3.0 (codenamed "Insect") has a completely new interface, and a whole bunch of new features and improvements, too. Check out the demo we prepared earlier, or read on for the full scoop…
A whole new interface

Yes, we've completely redesigned the app! For those of you familiar with our iPad app, you'll recognize the card stack for interacting with your tasks and notes. The card stack allows you to swipe your way through your tasks and notes with gestures for a natural, fun way to manage your tasks.
New 'Task' view

The task view now shows not only the task's details, but any notes you have associated with the task, too. You'll also see new icons for quick task actions: complete, postpone, and delete.
'This Week' view

This new view makes it easy to see what's due this week. As with the iPad app, you can also select a specific day to see what's due.
Edit multiple tasks at once

You can now edit multiple tasks quickly and easily: simply select multiple tasks by tapping the 'Edit' button in a list. In addition to complete and postpone, you'll now see options for editing the due date, priority, list, or tags for a bunch of tasks at once.
Tap to get stuff done

As you can now swipe your way through the app, we needed to come up with a new way to quickly complete tasks (we can't use the swipe gesture to reveal the 'Complete' button, as it's used for navigating). From the list, just tap and hold on a task and you'll see the 'Complete' button appear. Bonus! From here, you can slide up to switch to the 'Postpone' button.
Enjoy the new version!
We hope you like this latest app release! Want to learn more about the app in general? Check out the Remember The Milk for iPhone section of the site.
P.S. Remember The Milk for iPad has also been updated to support the new iPad with retina display. Enjoy!

Android app update: Scrollable, resizable widgets
Thursday, May 10, 2012 by Emily Boyd
Our Android widgets lacked scrollability and resizability, and this made Bob T. Monkey sad. :( We've remedied the situation with version 2.0.9 of Remember The Milk for Android, which includes:

Enhancements:
- Widgets are now both scrollable and resizable (requires Android 3.1+).
- Updates to localizations for Chinese (Simplified), Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian (Nynorsk), Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian.
Bug fixes:
- Fix issue with widgets not updating immediately when list sort order was changed.
- Fix issue with tasks duplicating incorrectly in particular (unusual!) circumstances.
Don't have the app yet? Get it on Google Play.
