Edit multiple tasks and more
Friday, March 31, 2006 by Emily Boyd
New features! No, not the 'big new things' that we've been working on (yet!), but here are a few little improvements that we've made in the meantime.
Multi-edit mode
Need to tag a bunch of tasks at once, or give them the same due date? Introducing multi-edit mode. As the name suggests, this is a special mode that allows you to edit multiple tasks at the same time (you can toggle the mode on or off by using the shortcut key 'm').
When multi-edit mode is turned on and multiple tasks are selected, the task details on the right will look something like this:

Any changes made will be applied to all selected tasks, making batch changes quick and easy.
Tabbing between fields
To make editing task details even faster, we now support using the tab key to move quickly between fields (tab + shift also works to move in the reverse direction). Tab away!
24 hour time display
International date and time support has always been important to us (not least because we're Australian!). We already provide full timezone support, and handle dates in just about any format. We've now added the option to display times in 24 hour format; you can change your preference under Settings/General.

RSS support
One of our lovely users, Krissa, posted a request on the forum that went like this:
We all love Remember the Milk
The interface is smooth as silk
But to make this web app the best
Please give us . . . RSS! :)
How can we deny a request written in poetry?! We now support RSS in addition to the existing Atom feeds. You might find this useful if you're using an older feed reader that doesn't yet support Atom. To access the feed in RSS format, just change the 'atom' in the URL to 'rss'. For example, the RSS feed for all your lists is available at: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/rss/yourusername/
Well that's it for now, but stay tuned for more updates!
Remember The Milk… powered by coffee
Sunday, March 26, 2006 by Emily Boyd
We're hard at work on some big new things here at Remember The Milk headquarters, which means our coffee consumption has increased accordingly (and we were already big coffee addicts!). Don't believe us? Check out how much Bob T. has been drinking all by himself… and that's just in one week.

Ever seen a monkey after he's had this much coffee? It's not pretty.
Bob has become such a regular fixture at the local coffee shop that he's started getting funny looks from the staff (or maybe they're just not used to seeing a monkey ordering coffee, who knows?).
Anyway, we're really excited about what we have in store for Remember The Milk — we want to help our users to lead even more organized lives :) More details soon…
